Privacy Policy

Your privacy matters to me. This policy explains what information is collected when you visit mehar.cc.cd ("Site") or get in touch, how it is used, and the choices you have. I — FAISAL, an independent specialist based in Pakistan — am responsible for the data described here. In short: this is a simple portfolio site, it runs no analytics or ad trackers, and the only personal data I ever see is what you choose to send me.

1. Information I collect

• Details you choose to share. When you contact me — through the contact form, WhatsApp, email or a social profile — I receive the name, email, company/website and project details you provide. I use them only to respond to your inquiry and, if we work together, to manage the project.
• Basic technical data. Like every website, my hosting provider (Netlify) automatically processes standard request data (such as IP address, browser type, pages requested and timestamps) to serve the Site, keep it secure and diagnose problems.
• What I don't collect. The Site itself runs no third-party analytics, no advertising pixels and no tracking cookies.

2. How I use your information

I use the information only to:

• reply to your inquiry and prepare quotes;
• deliver, support and improve the services you order;
• keep basic business records and meet legal obligations;
• protect the Site and everyone using it from abuse.

If you are in the EU/EEA: the legal bases are your consent when you contact me, performance of a contract when we work together, legitimate interest in running my business, and legal obligations where they apply. You can withdraw consent at any time.

3. Cookies and local storage

This Site sets no tracking or advertising cookies. Your browser stores page resources (fonts, images, code) in its normal cache to make pages load faster — that is standard behaviour you control in your browser settings. Third-party pages I link to (WhatsApp, X/Twitter and other profiles) have their own cookie policies that I don't control.

4. Third-party services

• Netlify — hosts and delivers this Site through its global network (server logs, security). netlify.com/privacy
• Google Fonts — the Site loads its typefaces from Google's font service, which means Google receives your IP address as part of that request. You can block web fonts in your browser if you prefer.
• WhatsApp (Meta) — if you message me there, Meta's terms and privacy policy apply to that conversation.
• Social profiles — links to X/Twitter and other platforms lead to services I don't control.

5. Data retention

Inquiry and project data is kept only as long as needed to respond to you and handle the business relationship, plus any period required by law (for example accounting rules). After that, personal data is deleted or anonymised.

6. Data security

I use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect the data I hold. No transmission over the internet is 100% secure, so please don't send sensitive information (like passwords) in plain chat messages — when we work together I'll always suggest a secure way to share access.

7. Your rights

Wherever you live, you can ask me to:

• tell you what personal data about you I hold (access);
• correct it (rectification);
• delete it (erasure);
• stop or restrict certain processing (objection / restriction);
• receive a copy in a portable format (portability).

8. International transfers

I work with clients worldwide, so information may be processed outside your country — for example on Netlify's global network or Meta's servers for WhatsApp. Where required, such transfers rely on appropriate safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

9. Children

The Site is a professional services site and is not directed to children under 16. I don't knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has sent me data, contact me and I will delete it.

10. Changes to this policy

I may update this policy from time to time — the "Last updated" date above always shows the current version. Significant changes will be highlighted on the Site.
